Description: The following process will instruct the user on the steps to create an application short-cut that will be used to start the application on the USB drive.
Open “This PC” or use File Explorer
Locate the USB drive that DEXIT has been installed on as illustrated below and highlighted.
Open the drive by double clicking on the device
Open the folder “Program Files (x86)” by double clicking the folder name.
Open the sub-folder ‘DEXITAI’ by double clicking the folder name.
Open the ‘DEXIT’ by double clicking the folder name.
The list of application files will appear, click on the Date Modified column to sort the folder by date. It should look like the illustration screen below.
In the list of files will be the application DEXIT.exe, highlight the file by selecting it with a single left mouse click. The file will be highlighted, and a check mark will appear to the left of the program name “DEXIT.exe” as shown below.
Right mouse click on the file
A Pop-up menu will appear, click on ‘Show more options’
In the Pop-up window find the option ‘Create shortcut’
Click on ‘Create shortcut’
The file “DEXIT – Shortcut’Type : Shortcut will be created and added to the list of files in the folder.
Click the ‘Date modified’ column, this will sort the contents of the folder and the newest file will appear at the top of the folder. The name will be ‘DEXIT.exe – Shortcut’
While the file is highlighted in the row press Right Mouse click the file and, in the Pop-up, menu choose ‘Cut’.
Click the Up-arrow button as illustrated below until you are at the root of the USB device as shown in the 2nd image below.
Right click the folder and press CTRL+V to Paste the ‘DEXIT.exe – Shortcut’link. It should look like the following illustration.
The DEXIT – Shortcut file will appear in the list and is ready to be used.
