Description: Change Drive Letter

To change your USB drive's letter from G: to X: in Windows 11, I can walk you through the process. Here's how to do it:

  1. Right-click on the Start button or press Win+X
  2. Select "Disk Management" from the menu
  3. In the Disk Management window, locate your USB drive (currently labeled as G:)
  4. Right-click on the USB drive and select "Change Drive Letter and Paths..."
  5. Click "Change"
  6. Select "X" from the drop down menu
  7. Click "OK"
  8. Confirm the change if prompted

The drive letter should change immediately, and your USB drive will now appear as X: in File Explorer and throughout Windows 11.

Keep in mind that some applications might still look for the drive at its previous letter if they were configured that way. You may need to reconfigure those applications to point to the new drive letter.
